The Verdict...

The verdict is in on the beautyblender sponge. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! I got it for a great price on Amazon, so check there before you pay retail.  It blends amazingly and gives you that flawless "photoshoot" finish that we all look for. Here is a picture of me after I used the beautyblender!

This is straight out of camera.. no editing or filters at all. It is a little cloudy so my skintone looks a little off but I thought it would be defeating the point if I fixed that! So don't look at the orangyness (yeah I just made that up!) and look at the blending of foundation. I totally have dark spots and acne scars under there so don't think I have perfect skin already!

Happy Saturday...now go get you a beautyblender!!!

You Know What Friday Means..

Its DIY Friday!! Woo Hooo!! Alright so this Friday is all about BAKING SODA! I did this Baking Soda facial and loved it! Here is what you do...

Get some Baking Soda, I store mine in a Mason Jar. Mix 3TB with 1 TB of water. Work it into a paste like this..

If you need a few more drops of water for easier spreading, add a few more DROPS!

Leave it on for 5 minutes and rinse with warm water! I really liked it!

Happy Friday ya'll! Have a great weekend... XXO~K

One piece Options!

I have decided that this swimsuit season I want to try to find a cute, flirty one piece to wear on occasion. There are some instances where I just don't feel like flaunting it in a bikini, perhaps...family vacay! Anyway, I was on the hunt today and thought I would share my results with all of you! I want to feel cute with a bit left to the imagination.. What do you think of the ones I have found? A little bit vintage, a little girly, a little flirty all included!!

Flimsy Nails?

Today's DIY features GARLIC! Yep, you read that right. According to Woman's Day magazine garlic can help strengthen nails. Through their research they found that women in the Dominican Republic have strong, long and beautiful nails. Their secret? They mince garlic and add it to the bottle of their clear coat. They let it sit for 7-10 days before they use it. Don't worry the smell DOES go away. Garlic is a natural antibiotic for the body and has many strengthening properties. I have a compromised immune system and have my whole life. My doctor told me to take a garlic pill each day and eat garlic on any foods that I possibly can. I have noticed a difference in not getting sick as much as I used to (even while working with sick and germy preschoolers)! Garlic is also good for heart health! Anyway, I have my garlic stewing in my clear coat, so we shall see.

Also, I am including my Friday outfit since I have had questions about it on Instagram!

Alright here is the breakdown:

Gingham shirt: Target
Pink Cardi: J.Crew
Belt: Forever 21
Boots: Macy Bean
Necklace: I have had since High School and CANNOT remember where from..(Sorry Ladies)
Bracelets: American Eagle

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Let me know if you are up to trying the garlic in your clear coat!!!!!

A Few Things...

Sorry I have been MIA this week. Tuesday night I completely forgot to blog...I had it all ready to go and everything. Wednesday I was busy and out of town all day...way too tired to blog when I got home, so here we are THURSDAY and I am finally getting around to blogging.

If you know me, you know the first stop I made while in the city...TJ MAXX! I found these super cute rounded sunnies by Cole Haan. I have been wanting to try rounded sunglasses but didn't know if I would like them so I didn't want to spend a whole lot. These were 16.99..

I think I like the retro rounded look! Fun for a change..

Here is another one of my TJ Maxx finds..

This smells SO GOOD and it lasts all day long! The only other perfume I have found to do that were my Chanel perfumes! This was a bargain only 29.99! Thanks TJ Maxx.

Now for those of you that loved my outfit for my fashiondiaries on Instagram (@kml88)  on Wednesday 4/18 I told you I would break this outfit down so you too can have one just like it :)

The blue shirt is from Target (recent), pink skinnys from American Eagle (recent), leopard tank from Wal-Mart, cap toe flats from payless (recent) and oh so comfy! The necklace I got at Dillards!

DIY Nails!

For this Friday's DIY edition I wanted to do SOMETHING with nails. Finally I found something that was quick and easy that is super cute! All you need is tape and polish...

All you do is take a base color that you like and paint your nails. Let dry for atleast an hour. Next get CREATIVE with that tape. Easy as 1,2,3.. you just have to have a little time on your side!

Sorry these pictures aren't the best quality ..it is driving me crazy that they look like this. They are the only pictures that showed the true colors of the polishes...do you know how HARD it is to take pictures of polish and keep the color of it?! Anyway happy Friday and to all my Midwest friends and family please stay safe and take these crazy storms VERY SERIOUSLY!!

Today's Frugal Look!

I truly owe it to my Mother and Granny for teaching me how to look great and be frugal at the same time! As far back as I can remember I have gone on shopping trips with my Momma and Granny. The first stop we always made was at the clearance rack and let me tell you my whole life I have been dressed well without spending a fortune. For todays look I spent a total of 35.00 for my outfit. Heres the look...

Pastels for Spring!

Right now Pastels AND neons are so in, but I am saving the neons for summer when I have a better tan! Today I had fun creating this outfit...

Ralph Lauren sweater via TJ MAXX, gingham shirt via TARGET, Coral pants via lil boutique uptown and nude flats via K-MART! Do not be afraid to block colors and step out of your comfort zone. Be confident in what you are wearing. I have felt that as long as I am confident wearing my outfit people feel that as well! People have even come up to me and said I never would have put that together  because I would have thought it would look crazy but you look so great in an outfit like this!

Can you find Lucy? She is such a camera ham! Every time I do my fashiondiaries she starts following me around the yard!

Do you have Instagram? I heard it is open to Android users now!! Look me up...@kml88

AND DON'T FORGET TO FIND ME ON FACEBOOK..this will be the info on all the soon to be giveaways and such!!! Help me spread the word and share it with your friends if you would..I would so appreciate it!

DIY Friday Featuring Coconut Oil!

Alright everyone I think I have found my go to product.. Organic Coconut Oil. Today I want to share just a few things that this can do for you. First things first, I have dry and frizzy, natural curly hair. I have spent so much money on smoothing serums and frizzy lotions and potions. I have finally found something that is cost effective, organic and does a wonderful job! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN COCONUT OIL?!! Anyway check this out...

Used Coconut Oil               Did not use Coconut Oil

I am sure you can tell the difference right?!

I recently received a message from a reader that has dry scalp. She wanted me to help her find something that could work for her. Well guess what Miss E I found something just for you! Here is what you do...

-Buy some Coconut Oil (you can find the exact one I bought in the baking section at Wal-Mart)
-Part your hair one section at a time and rub the Coconut Oil into your scalp
-Make sure you rub and massage your scalp so it can really set in
-Take a wide tooth comb and comb out any tangles
-Put a shower cap on and sleep with it over night (you may want to cover your pillow for extra protection or use an old pillow case just to help in case the shower cap shifts over night)
-Wash hair in the morning and repeat process until you notice a difference (this may take 3-4 weeks)

Here are some other uses for Coconut Oil:

Damaged ends? rub some Coconut Oil onto ends 30 minutes before showering
Curly hair like me? use it as frizz control while styling your hair
Eczema, Psoriasis, dry skin? Rub some COCONUT OIL ON IT

I am sure I will find more uses for this amazing product and of course share it with you on DIY Fridays!!!

XXO and HAPPY EASTER! I am so thankful for what my Lord and Savior has done for me!

Outfit Sets!

I recieved an email from a reader that was in a rut when it came to her office outfits. I had originally told her that one of my go to closet pieces is a cardigan. I try not to get cardigans in black, gray or white, but in pops of color. When I got to thinking about this, it popped into my head the she lives  in Texas and as we all know it gets very hot there so I doubt she wants to run out and buy some cardigans! Mallory...use that idea in the Fall! I created a set on Polyvore that is very affordable. Every piece is under 50.00 and the pieces come from Target, Payless, Old Navy and Maurices. Mallory is a mom so I wanted to create pieces that were comfortable, cute and could transition into mommy duties when she picks up her little boy after work!

You can find all the information on this Polyvore set here .

She also asked me to help her with some ideas for what her family could wear to a photo shoot since I am also a photographer! One thing that makes for great pictures is when the family is dressed cute! We can do without the matchy matchy outfits in all white or black. You also do not want to compete prints. For example, don't do more than one person in stripes or plaid. For a photo shoot you want to mix and match but still look put together. Some of my favorite family photos that I have taken was because the family was dressed in colorful but coordinating outfits!

So Mallory I hope this Polyvore set is helpful. Take these ideas and adapt them to your individual styles for your family. Thanks for asking me for advice. I absolutely loved creating these sets for you! If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. Find this Polyvore set here

If anyone else would like me to create a set of outfits for you please email me at classyclosetconfessions@gmail.com

Fitness Fun!!

Well as I am sure you are aware, summer which = shorts, swimsuit, tank tops is right around the corner. In my little corner of the world there are two VERY small fitness centers which aren't really equipped with the route of fitness I like to take. This has forced me to search and search and search some more for great at home workouts that I don't get bored with. I finally hit the jackpot so of course I had to share with you! www.blogilates.com click here is THE BEST website. She has crazy good workouts that aren't very long but man do they get you going!! I love the "Food Baby" workout and the "Lower Pooch" workout! She also has amazing recipes with calorie content in which I will be planning next weeks menu around.

Have a fabulous Tuesday! Stay tuned this week for some super fun polyvore sets I am creating for someone who emailed me and asked for help!
